PITY PARTY

It’s a pity party , so easy to say

The world is agaisnt me ,it just isn’t my day

To blow out proportion what’s weighing your mind

We’re so wrapped up in our own little lives

Do I have to tell you how lucky you are

Your life is before you and you hold the cards

Count all the good things take your worries in stride

We all have been blessed it can’t be denied

I’ve seen my dreams shattered , my hopes out to sea

When we fly too high we are brought to our knees

It serves as a lesson to fortify the soul

We receive what we give with a hundred times fold

Do I have to tell you how lucky you are

Surrounded by friends and family ,you’re far

From the suffering that others have known

We all have been blessed it can’t be denied

Just turn on TV , the six o’clock news

Civil wars and governments that abuse

Of the rights of men , how can I complain

While a man dies in the cold , no one knows his name

Do I have to tell you how lucky you are

Life is good for us it isn’t hard

To forget the children who’re crying in vain

Open your eyes don’t turn away ,from misery, the hunger ,the scars

Should I remind you how lucky you are ?
